Beauty fixes for your need.
No matter how well you maintain your beauty routine, there will be days when you wake up with a puffy eyes or bad hair day. There were days I woke up with excellent good skin condition and my hair just flow the right way. Sadly, I’ve spent many mornings fixing that overnight acne and getting rid of my frizzy hair. Luckily, there are many ways to rescue you from these situations, and here are a few methods to cope.
6 Emergency Beauty Fixes You Should Know
Blemishes and Breakouts
Place an ice pack or ice cube wrapped in handkerchief on the breakouts and gently massage it for 5-10 minutes to reduce swelling. Pat the area dry and apply a product that contains benzoyl peroxide with a clean cotton swab. If concealer is necessary, apply thin layers of concealer that also contains benzoyl peroxide for conceal the breakouts.
Ideally, place chilled gel eye mask over closed eyes for 10 minutes. Alternatively, you could place cold cottons as this will also drain the accumulated fluids and reduce swelling on the eyes.
Apply a layer of eye cream before concealer to hydrate the under-eye area so that your concealer would go on smoothly. Also, choose a concealer that is one shade lighter than your foundation, and apply it using a concealer brush. To prevent the concealer from creasing, set it with powder.
Dry and Chapped Lips
Chapped lips are definitely not attractive, and it looks worse with lipsticks on. To fix this, apply a layer of lip balm before putting on your lipsticks. Alternatively, olive oil is an excellent moisturiser for your lips.
Bad Hair Day
Greasy hair and in a rush to go out? Rub some antibacterial gel in your palms and comb it through the hair. Brush it and use a hair-drying to blow-dry the hair. The alcohol content in the gel will dissolve any build-up oil/grease in the hair.
For frizzy hair, rub a bit of conditioner or ordinary hand cream to the ends of the hair.
If you are hair is dull and in need of some gloss, coconut oil comes to the rescue. Make sure your hair is dry or at least towel-dried. Heat up the oil in a small bowl to room temperature, and then use your fingertips to work the oil into your scalp in small circular motions. Once you have thoroughly massaged the oil into your scalp and dry ends evenly, wrap your hair with a warm dampen towel and leave it for 30 minutes. After that, thoroughly wash off the oil with shampoo and voila, you have a dull-free hair!
If you are not carrying a nail file with you, use the back of a matchbook and carefully filed it at the back of the matchbook.
