It is such an honor for me to review for a well-known French product, the Melvita L’Or Bio Extraordinary Shower!
Fun fact about me: I love cult French skin care. Brands such as L’Occitane, Embryolisse, Yves Rocher, Nuxe, and Bioderma just speaks out to me. There’s something about the effortless beauty aura about French women that gets me. They can share me any of their beauty secrets — so long as they’re not weird, I am willing to try! Yes, they are lazy when it comes to makeup and their skin care is not as complex compared to their Asian counterparts. Which is why French skin care are always packed with vitamins and goodness of all sorts; perhaps to compensate for the laziness?
I am also a hoarder of shower products. I never mind the brand, so long as they are hydrating and smell good. Back when I was in college, we has a communal shower among the ladies. Each of my unit mates are unique with their own choices of products. Some has two type of shampoos or shaving creams, others have only the basics. And there I was, with my huge pink basket that I got from Jusco. It was the most beautiful basket I have ever seen and was more stylish than the average blue pail that my unit mates had.
In my basket, there were too many products just for me. I had three body products; shower gel, shower cream and body scrub. Three shampoos (two for backups), five facial products, etc., etc.. Sometimes I would go as far as going to supermarkets just to buy a new shower crème or gel, just to switch things up as I have the tendency to smell according to my mood at the time.
I’m pretty sure I am not alone in this.
Anyways, let’s get on with the review of this amazing product.
I am no expert, obviously. I’m merely stating how I feel and see when it comes to my skin.
My skin is quite dry and I have this habit of only applying body cream or hand cream only up to my arms and legs. Nowhere else. Therefore, my skin tends to be drier since I am in and out with different environment. Hence, when I received this shower oil, I’d thought I could use this as a moisturizer without having to slather any body cream on. I tested this shower oil out for a week, and I was instantly hooked!

Below are the ingredients that can be found in this shower oil — and it’s contains organic components! Which is important! My skin tends to be eczema prone, therefore harsh chemicals would just make my skin worse than it is.

Here’s a short description that I found from the website:
Melvita L’Or Bio Extraordinary Shower contains a unique synergy of 5 unusual and precious organic oils combined with L’Or Bio® scent.
These 5 oils are known for their enhancing properties: Argan oil from Morocco, Kendi oil from Indonesia, Buriti oil from Brazil, Inca Inchi oil and Pracaxi oil from Amazonia. Its silky lather turns your shower into a pure moment of pleasure and well-being.
The result: your skin is silky soft and delicately scented.
Alright, so here’s my verdict.
In all honesty, I enjoyed using this Melvita L’Or Bio Extraordinary Shower so much that I think I’m going to swap my usual shower gel or whatever I have used at the moment for this shower oil. For a 250 ml of product, RM 80 is well worth spending to. For a prestige French skincare brand, I think it’s pretty reasonable! I have to keep myself to stop using this so much since I start to shower even more frequent (I’m going to die looking at the bill).
Have this one a go and let me know what you think!
I would definitely recommend.
