Please introduce yourself
Hi! I am Aniz, born and raised in Malaysia, but have been studying and living in The States for four years now. I have just completed two degrees, and am currently on the hunt for a job #adulting. I am just a gal trying to explore life and other opportunities in this Millenial world.
During my free time, I will share parts of my life on my fashion and lifestyle blog called Mood and Board. I enjoy staying on the cutting egde of current and future trends and involving myself into anything related to fashion, since it has always been a great passion of mine.
What is your current occupation?
Unemployed. Hire me.
Where can we find you online?
Describe your personal style in THREE words
An eclectic mix of: trendy, classic, and playful.
Less or more?
Personally, more for me, but honestlty as long as you’re confident in whatever you wear.
What do you wear on lazy days?
I don’t have lazy days… picking out outfits is the best part of my day. But if I had to choose, my simple go-to look would be sporty: cap, tee, trackpants/shorts, and sneakers.
Who’s your style icon?
There are many fashion bloggers with personal styles that I Iove. Top of the list is Nicole Warne, Chriselle Lim, Margaret Zhang, Aimee Song, and Negin Misralehi—to name a few. They continue to inspire me with styles that are different, trendy, and also effortless.
How do you stay up to date with fashion?
I draw inspiration from all over, it’s actually pretty impressive to see such great styles from random passerby’s, people watching and street styles.
I also always look to Instagram, I can scroll all day on the explore page looking for style inspo’s, and now that there is a saving feature I can instantly add them to my collection. Stalking at it’s finest am I right?

YAS KWEEN. That was me just two days ago.
Sneakers, flats or heels kinda girl?
For a 5’ 2” girl; heels.
What’s your style philosophy?
To always be confident in what you wear. Don’t follow trends if it doesn’t represent who you are or if it makes you feel uncomfortable.
Everyone should step out of the house feeling beautiful and confident, that’s the best way to the start the day.
What’s a fashion trend that can never let you down?
Flares and ruffles—on tops or pants. They add chicness and volume to any ouftit.
I think the volume also makes me feel smaller under my clothes, and somehow makes me feel really comfortable in them.
Do you see makeup as part of fashion?
Yes, I think beauty is a type of fashion practice.
Beauty and fashion is united into a seamless concept that moves in the same direction and completes one another.
Which celebrities have the best style to you?
Olivia Culpo, I need her wardrobe!
Monochrome or colour blocking?
Colour blocking is a bit tougher to pull of on me, so I stick with monochrome.
Who is the most fashionable woman that you know?
From all the stylish women I have mentioned, Margaret Zhang’s style blows me away the most because she is ahead of trends.
Her bold, tailored fashion is just so different and versatile, and I don’t think anyone can pull it of better than she can.
What’s your favourite thing to wear?
Accessories you can’t live without?
My hoop earrings
Are you afraid of wearing an all-white outfit?
No, I’d just be more cautious when dipping my fries into chilli sauce.
What are the FIVE things that you must have in your bag?
Phone, keys, wallet, a book, and lipstick.
What’s the priciest thing you ever splurge on?
A crossbody bag, that I should be taking more care of….
If you have to wear ONE thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Which fashion trend that will never be out of style?
Polka dots or stripes?
STRIPES! You’ll never see me in polka dots, they scare me.

Just fashion influencers on Instagram

So many things, food, travelling, music, cats, etc.
Your favourite apparel?
Gosh, this is a tough one. Maybe flared pants or culottes.
What kind of style that you’re least confident about?
Cropped tops, they don’t hide your food baby.
What’s your favourite fashion brand?
One that currently fits in my budget would be Zara. Half of everything I own is from Zara!
Who’s your biggest influence when it comes to fashion?
For me, the biggest influence on fashion would be the weather and place/occassion… Before I choose out my outfit, I need to look at the weather forecast (since it’s so unpredictable in The States), and know what I am dressing for.
Name THREE things you can’t live without?
My iPhone (come on, don’t judge, we’re living in the digital age)
When did you first involve in fashion?
Ever since I was young and made dresses for my Barbie dolls made out of Kleenex tissues..
