Please introduce yourself
I’m Bash Harry, nineteen years old.
What is your current occupation?
Currently, I’m a law student in the University of Exeter. On some days, I’m a blogger/youtuber and ‘influencer.’ It’s a word I’m still trying to get used to.
Where can we find you online?
You can find me on instagram https://www.instagram.com/bashharry/ or Youtube at Bash Harry.
For some more fun, I write at HEY BASH, http://www.heybash.com.
How did you start your career?
I started a blog to focus on makeup, lifestyle and fashion. It escalated quickly.
What’s the current update about yourself?
Trying not to freak out over law school, and failing miserably.
Describe your personal style in THREE words
One Black Piece. (At Least)
Less or more?
Depends on the context. Usually less, if not, more.
What do you wear on lazy days?
On lazy days, which is most days, I will wear jeans and a hoodie.
Who’s your style icon?
My style icon is Audrey Hepburn. There’s an effortless kind of sophistication to her. She brings her quirks into style, and I adore her.
How do you stay up to date with fashion?
Honestly, I don’t think I do. I scroll through Instagram, and I notice trends from various brands and bloggers. Sometimes, I join in the fun. Most times, I don’t.
What do you think about denim over denim?
Everyone can wear it well except me.
Sneakers, flats or heels kinda girl?
Boots! Any pair of boots, my favourite are heeled Chelsea boots.
What’s your style philosophy?
If all else fails, wear black.
What’s a fashion trend that can never let you down?
Black, black, black. And some black.
Do you see makeup as part of fashion?
Yes, I don’t think I’d get into fashion if I didn’t get into makeup first.
Which celebrities have the best style to you?
Rihanna. She’s so otherworldly, she can wear a trash bag and still be Best Dressed of 2017.
Monochrome or colour blocking?
Monochrome. I’m not cool enough to pull off colour blocking.
Who is the most fashionable woman that you know?
My best friend, Ziqah, who taught me how to figure out my personal style. And then proceeds to complain about it.
What’s your favourite thing to wear?
My high waisted black skinny jeans. They match everything, and are super comfy!
Accessories you can’t live without?
I’ve started to wear chokers lately.
Are you afraid of wearing an all-white outfit?
I have definitely worn an all-white outfit before, and spilled hot chocolate on it. It was an exhilarating experience. Would recommend just for the fear.
What are the FIVE things that you must have in your bag?
Phone, wallet, a pen, lipstick of the day, and the book I’m currently reading.
What’s the priciest thing you ever splurge on?
I don’t know exactly, but it’s probably a makeup item.
If you have to wear ONE thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?
A black long sleeve shirt. I wear that everyday anyway.
Which fashion trend that will never be out of style?
Minimalism. I think it will always stay, since it’s just a classic style.
Polka dots or stripes?
What are you currently following in the fashion industry (brand, news, model career, etc)
A little bit of everything, I guess! I want to follow trends organically. That being said, I do read a bit online for the latest trends.
What do you like besides fashion?
I consider myself as a writer first, something I wish I do more often. I’m also an avid reader and knitter too!
Your favourite apparel?
I have a leather jacket I’ve been wearing since UK is transitioning into Spring. I’ve worn it so much, it’s starting to crack.
What kind of style that you’re least confident about?
Korean style fashion and makeup has been a huge influence over South East Asia. I don’t think I can do it.
What’s your favourite fashion brand?
I don’t have any unfortunately. I buy my pieces from various brands.
Who’s your biggest influence when it comes to fashion?
My mom. She loves fashion more than I do, I don’t think I’d be here if not for her.
Name THREE things you can’t live without?
A laptop, my camera, and Harry Potter. I can’t live without my Harry Potter books.
When did you first involve in fashion?
I started in early 2015, the year I actually made a conscious attempt to be ‘fashionable.’ Things happened, and here I am!
