Please Introduce Yourself
Hi I’m Crystal Liow
What is your current occupation?
I am still a student doing my last year of degree in Monash. As for occupation, I would attend some events during my free time! 🙂
Where can we find you online?
Favorite new beauty product you have tried?
Nars creamy concealer. This is one of my beauty products i have re-purchased for the third time. It conceals my dark circle and flaws perfectly. Oh oh it does a great job in highlighting my nose bridge too. i love itttt.
Where do you spend most of your time?
I would say shopping centres where i do almost everything there; for coffee, getting assignments done, gym and shopping!
Name one place where you would recommend people to visit in Malaysia.
to be honest, Kuala Lumpur (coming from a city girl)
as for food, Malacca would be a great choice for their famous Nyonya cuisine
and Penang for their famous street food!
What’s in your makeup bag right now?
I dont usually bring a makeup bag with me because i like keeping my bags neat with only my phone, cash and a lipstick. So i would say, just a lipstick hahaha. I’m super lazy in touching up my make up.
Name FIVE (5) Beauty Items you cannot live without.
Lipstick, eyebrow powder, tinted sunscreen, hair curler and… concealer.
What’s your typical day like at work/weekends?
In university. On days i do not have class, i would just hang around in cafes getting my work done effectively. and maybe going for some short window shopping after that.
during the weekends, i’m just usually at home trying to “re-energise” myself for the upcoming week!
Favorite place you have travelled to?
SEOUL, KOREA. It is definitely a perfect place for beauty junkies like me. The products are way cheaper compared to the prices in Malaysia. It is super convenient to get any make up shopping done where you can get everything(products/brands) in a street. It’s basically a shopping heaven for everythinggggg.
How do you unwind after work?
Home. Home is where I get the best “rest day”. but i wouldn’t choose to drive through the jam during the peak hours, so usually i would (again) just chill in any cafe with my favourite cup of latte.
Any beauty advice from your mother?
To be honest, my mum is not fond of beauty product but there’s only one thing she always stresses me on — sunscreen.
“Girl, sunscreen is so important, im sure you wouldn’t wanna get freckles while you’re still young!” I get that alot from her.
Favorite beauty brands?
Sulwhasoo (skin care)
as for cosmetics.. I can’t choose 🙁 I basically use all different brands for every beauty products i own.
What makes you smile the most?
being able to help.
Tell us how you got started in makeup.
I think it was when i first started watching some Korean dramas, and those vibrant coloured lips on the lead actress immediately caught my attention. That was how i got my first lipstick on hand!
Favorite Malaysian meal?
What was the last book that you’ve read?
International Marketing textbook for my assignment 🙁
Any signature scent?
Something really light and refreshing 🙂
