Hello! I’m Joey Leong, 23, the eldest daughter in the house, but have always been the youngest on set while filming. To introduce myself in short, ‘A recently graduated Malaysian Chinese actress, singer and media influencer’.
Charm, sweet, young, feminine, vibrant (energetic) & elegant (for certain occasions).
What Mantra That You Believe in?
I always believe what kind of person you are, you attract the same type of person with similar aspirations in life; positivity attracts, negativity repels. Also, although I always encourage the younger generation to plan ahead and plant now for the future, I also emphasize on the importance of ‘being here now’.
Started acting & singing when I was 5 or younger, I remember I really enjoyed watching others performing on the stage & acting in the tv, and I also often sang out loud & danced like nobody’s watching at home; my parents noticed my passion & interest in performing and therefore introduced me into this entertainment industry.
I started by participating in beauty pageant (kids) and talent contests, and gradually gained more confidence when I filled my whole cupboard with trophies & crowns! Until today, I’m thankful for my parents’ support & trust to let me proudly enjoy what I love to do.
Guess that’s what inspired me to start, but the inspiration that keeps me doing what I am doing right now, is the sincere relationship I have with my JLS, and also the responsibility of being a good role model I ought to bear to motivate more people and generate more positivity that is much needed in this society.
Actress, Singer, Performer, Social Media Influencer, Brand Ambassador, Coventry University International Student Ambassador & Scholar.
I’m an actress with 18 years of experience who contributed to around 30 dramas & international movies since childhood. With huge passion in music, I also enjoy singing, dancing, playing piano & drums, and performing for the charming audience.
Also, to appreciate the efficient online communication we all can take advantage on today, I share my thoughts and motivational contents with my audience (fanbase: JLS JoeyLeong’s Lucky Stars) and I guess with that, I became an influencer, with certain power of influence towards them via online & offline media. #JLSSpirit is what brings us (my followers & I) together, in a positive way!
What makes you smile the most?
My puppy / Good friends or family making me laugh / Heartfelt comments, messages or complements from others especially JLS / I smile naturally from the bottom of my heart while seeing the people I love smile.

Ever since I came back from London after completing my studies in Global Business, I’m now enjoying the full-time working adulthood moment and also dealing with the pressures of entering the challenging working field at the same time. In short, I’m finding a way to balance my dream and the reality, and also, learning bit by bit each day to become a better me.
I’m now the NTV7 Top 10 Artistes, returning to tv-series shooting. My recent dramas I’m working on are “The Memoirs of Majie” (a story with 1950s setting, to be aired in July 2017) and “The Men in Black School” (a story about bodyguard, to be aired at the end of 2017).
