Personal Style

I would describe it as quite elegant and chic – and obviously modest.

What Mantra That You Believe in?

My mantra would be to have a pure heart and intentions and have faith in god always – you need to be grateful during good times and have sabr during bad times. If you keep your intentions pure and have trust in the almighty you will always be happy and content.

Career Story

In terms of blogging, it just sort of happened by accident. I joined instagram in December 2013, and by January 2014 I had over 1000 followers. People asked me questions about my outfit, where I brought certain things, how I tied my hijab and I guess it just felt natural to discuss this in either a video on youtube or on a website blog – and I haven’t looked back since J

Current occupation

I actually work in the legal sector, but I am also one of the UKs top modest fashion bloggers.

What makes you smile the most?

Being around the people I love; or the feeling I get  after a long day of working hard and knowing I’ve achieved something.

Her Mom’s beauty advice

My mother wasn’t very big on beauty, but she has very good skin and has aged very well. I learnt from her to not abuse my skin, to not use too many products and let my skin breathe. She also told me water is your best friend!

How she got started in make-up

I loved make up for as long as I can remember; when I was 7 or 8 my uncle would tell me off because I was too young, but I still played around with it. I love how it makes me feel, I love how it can give you a mask to be someone different, I love how it can give you confidence.

ULTIMATE Beauty Icon

Ooooh this is a hard one, there are so many amazing women throughout history I could pick. I would actually probably go for Jennifer lopez –  from a very young age I always admired her, and thought she has a very beautiful look about her – and I can only hope I look as amazing when I reach the age of 47!

Favourite new beauty product

I recently tried the urban decay lipsticks – and whilst they are not new, they were new to me! I love the formula, I prefer matt lipsticks and sometimes they can be drying but the UD ones are really creamy and pigmented – and they have so many gorgeous colours to pick from.

What’s in your makeup bag right now?

I actually stopped carrying a make up back around with me a few years ago – it just seemed like too much effort! But my go to products for a everyday glam would be Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation; Maybelline Age Rewind Concealor; Kat Von D Translucent Powder; Anastasia Beverly Hills or Kat Von D contour kit; Sleek Blusher; Anastasia Beverly Hills dip brow pomade; Urban Decay Liquid Eyeliner; and for lips my go to is Spice lipliner from Mac and Honeylove lipstick from Mac. Ooh and a pair of fake eyeleashes!

5 Beauty Items That She Can’t Live Without

Maybelline age rewind concealer is a god sent for me! But I would also say, some contouring or bronzing product, mascara and an eyelash curler – and urban decay liquid liner.

Favourite beauty brands

Kat Von D have some amazing products, for drugstore I like Sleek as they have good quality make up for reasonable prices.

Her signature scent

Daisy by Marc Jacobs or Cinema by YSL.

Handbag essentials

Not mucj – when I was younger I use to carry a massive bag around with me, now its mostly, lipstick, chewing gum, a phone charger and a bank card J

What is your lazy girl beauty staple?

Oil – facial oil, hair oil, any type of oil – I love getting the moisture back into my skin and hair and just giving it the whole day to soak up.

Her favourite destination

I would have to say Medina – something about that city is so peaceful and calming. It makes your forget the rest of the hectic world.

Malaysian favourite food

Chicken Satay – I love chicken!

What’s next for you?

I plan to travel a lot this year, that’s the main thing on my agenda – and then anything else that comes my way in sha allah.
